NSTF has received membership in various international associations central to the cause of student and youth travel and exchange.
Membership of the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) Association means that all locally registered full-time students have at their disposal an internationally recognized proof of their student status that is endorsed by UNESCO and the European Commission.
The Student Air Travel Association (SATA), the International Association for Student Insurance Services (IASIS), the International Association for Educational and Work Exchange Programmes (IAEWEP) and the Association of Language Travel Operators (ALTO) are four specialized associations in their respective fields that provide NSTF with the specific facilities for international student and youth mobility.
The frameworks of the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO) and of the International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF) are instrumental for NSTF to obtain the necessary international platforms to support services in the spheres of tourism and accommodation for young people in association with similar organizations overseas. Furthermore, membership in the Experiment in Europe (EiE) Association provides easier access to mobility programmes sponsored by the European Commission to the advantage of Malta’s young people.
